Import export business is one of the most lucrative businesses. This is due to the fact that it helps you integrate and compete at the world level. Every new business tries to enter the international market but they overlook some of the important points mentioned below:

• Register for IEC code: This is one of the most important points for IEC business which new comers forget the most. This is the first and the foremost license which you need to started.

• Register for Register cum Membership Certificate (RCMC): This is one of the registrations which are not very famous, but its importance is equivalent to IEC code. After getting the IEC code, if you are not registered under RCMC, then you will not be able to avail any export association benefit.

• Get the A.D. Code: A.D. code stands for Authorised Dealer Code. It is the code assigned by RBI to the exporter/importer. This code can be assigned only when IEC code and RCMC certificate is allowed.

• Get the CHA: CHA stands for Custom housing Agent (CHA). CHA is appointed to conduct all the formalities at the port. CHA appointment is optional, but it is recommended to hire a CHA to complete all the port formalities legally and professionally.
