#Step 1 – Documents required for GST registration in Delhi
The primary step before commencing GST registration in Delhi is to gather all the required documents. The lists of required documents are as follows:
1. Photo of the Authorised person
- Photo of proprietor in case of proprietorship
- Photo of Managing partner/designated partner in case of firm/LLP
- Photo of Managing director/whole time director in case of Companies
2. Proof of Registration
- Partnership deed in case of partnership firm
- Registration certificate in case of LLP and Companies
- No registration certificate required in case of proprietorship
3. Proof of Principle place of business
- If you own the property, then ownership document like electricity bill, tax receipt/property tax receipt or registry documents of that place.
- If you are on rent, then copy of rent agreement/lease agreement with electricity bill in the name of the owner.
- If you neither own the property nor on rent, then submit electricity bill along with copy of NOC.
4. Other documents
- Scanned copy of bank statement/bank passbook or scan copy of cancelled cheque containing Name, bank account no., MICR, IFSC and branch details including code
- Authorisation form
#Step 2 – Apply for GST registration in form GST REG – 01
Once you are ready with all the documents, the next step is to file the GST registration form GST REG – 01. While filing the form, one must adhere to certain guidelines:
- Enter name of person as recorded on PAN database of the business. Further, all the details of the PAN shall be verified online.
- Provide email and mobile number of authorised signatory for verification and future communication which shall be done on the basis of OTP.
- The application shall be signed with class 2 digital signature
#Step 3 – Submit the application and generate Temporary Reference Number (TRN)
Once application is filed, TRN shall be generated which is based on the primary details mentioned in PART A of the GST REG form. Once you have generated the TRN number, then you must complete the application form and submit the same to the department.
#Step 4 – Verification of application and documents
Once the application is submitted online, the documents and the application shall verified by the officer and he shall either reject or accept within 3 working days. However, if application is rejected then the proper reasons should be given and person gets the opportunity to rectify the error within 7 working days.
#Step 5 – Grant of Registration certificate
Once application is approved, the registration certificate is granted in the form GST REG – 06.
